Parish Council
We have been informally informed that there are proposed organisational changes at the Finch Foundry including the redundancy of the local manager. This is part of a larger restructuring of the National Trust, with the following release on their website:
“We are proposing to reduce our pay bill and are beginning a 45-day consultation period with our staff in order to find savings of £26 million. The proposals would lead to an estimated 6% reduction in jobs. We will, of course, work to minimise compulsory redundancies.”
As Finch Foundry is an important visitor centre that has other impacts on the village, it is proposed that the Parish Council make representations to the National Trust:
– To seek clarity about the about the local proposals that are out for consultation
– To express concerns about any changes that might have an adverse impact on Sticklepath
– To reaffirm commitment to collaboration with the National Trust on any subsequent planning that sustains and enhances the provision and experience.
