Membership:

  • Membership shall consist of not less than four residents of Sticklepath, of whom:
    • at least two members shall be Parish Councillors
    • at least two members shall be non-Councillors.
  • All members shall have equal voting rights.
  • The committee may agree membership without reference to the Parish Council, which should be recorded in their minutes.
  • A Chair shall be elected from the members of the Committee.

Quorum:

The quorum shall be three members

Meetings:

The committee shall meet at least twice a year as required, in any place to be determined by the Chair of the Sticklepath Moor Nature Reserve Committee.

Terms of Reference

1. The purpose of the Committee is to advise the Parish Council on all matters relating to the development of the Sticklepath Moor Nature Reserve.
2. The Committee will seek approval from the Parish Council prior to any costs being incurred.
3. The committee will propose the aims and objectives of the care of the Nature Reserve to the Council.
4. The Committee will consider the needs of all the residents of Sticklepath when planning developments.
5. The Committee will apply directly for grant funding in the name of Sticklepath Parish Council, and with their approval, to further the aims of the committee.
6. The Committee will work directly with other agencies to further the aims of the Nature Reserve.
7. All members of the committee will receive communications by email regarding the committee.
8. The committee will be responsible, with assistance from the Sticklepath Parish Council Clerk, for publishing the agenda for their meetings, at least three working days before the meeting, on the Council noticeboard and Council website.
9. The committee will be responsible, with assistance from the Sticklepath Parish Council Clerk, for publishing the draft minutes of their meetings, within a month of each meeting, on the Council noticeboard and Council website.
