Ben has provided leaflets to advertise for volunteers to assist in the cleaning of the leat.
There are 2 days which will need to be organised to complete tasks as we have tackled before and to cover the Green Spaces proposals.
Following Ian Brooker’s retirement, we need to liaise with Rob Taylor rtaylor@dartmoor.gov.uk re the work on Sticklepath Moor. The central ditch, grazing, and annual cutting by a contractor has been completed for this year. However, Tony Francis has withdrawn from the agreement to graze the moor. It is hoped that DNPA will get their roving herd of ponies to graze there instead.
The annual parish task will require some cutting and clearing. We should be working for a date at the end of February, start of March for the first Work Day,
The second Work Day needs to be planned for May/June to include weeding of verges and kerbsides, and ideally it would be co-ordinated by a Road Warden.
