Parish Council
There were concerns expressed about an increase in anti-social behaviour in and around the village at the end of the school holidays/start of the new academic year.
Cllr Moore met with Cllr Wight from South Tawton Parish Council, and with Cllr. Daniel, West Devon Borough Council to informally share information and to consider what other steps might be taken. It was understood that there have been examples of criminal damage and other examples of fly-tipping, and that these have been reported such that there have been a number of relevant agencies alerted and involved, including the Police.
There will be an anti-social hub meeting, based on Okehampton to which Cllr Daniel will report and will find out what joint-agency approaches can be targeted in this area. Cllr Wight indicated that she would be keen to join Cllr Daniel in any hub meetings, to specifically focus on South Zeal, and that Cllr Daniel would report back for the benefit of Sticklepath.
There does not seem to have been ongoing concerns in relation to any activity by youths, but Councillors have been encouraged to support community awareness and diligence.
