After my report to the previous meeting about the MVAS share with Drewsteignton PC, I received a request to return it to our partners. They will have it serviced in line with the contract we share, and will insist that the spare battery is replaced. We will have our turn in 3 months’ time.
We have received more feedback re the presentation by Moretonhampstead PC to DNPA in December 2024. I have followed this with an approach to James Wright indicating that DNPA should be able to reflect the views of Parish Councils when further presentations are made to DCC Highways re 20mph zoning. I used the opportunity to resubmit the reports prepared for the DNPA Active Travel Plan, as it was indicated that views could still be submitted after the closure of the consultation period.
The reports that were sent to DNPA and DCC for their consultation on traffic contain some proposals for traffic calming which have had some time for consideration. It is understood that there is a growing consensus that SPC could install some more signs/street furniture which would influence driver behaviour, and that Highways might look sympathetically on these.
