4. Parish Council Minutes

To approve and sign the minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on 2nd September 2024.

5. DNPA Ranger Introduction

To receive a self-introduction from the new Dartmoor National Park Ranger for the area, Kit Hancock.

6. Sticklepath Moor

To agree any actions to improve Sticklepath Moor, with the assistance of a local expert.

7. Cow Attacks

To agree any action regarding the recent attacks by cows on people and dogs in the area.

8. Reports

8.1. WDBC / DCC Reports

To receive any reports from West Devon Borough Council or Devon County Council Councillors.

8.2. Chair’s Report

To receive a report from Cllr Sales.

8.3.  Playing Field Committee Report

To receive any report from the Playing Field Committee (Cllr. Bell).

8.4.  Clerk’s Report

To receive the report from the Clerk.

8.5. Road Warden’s Report

To receive any report from Cllr Powell, Road Warden and Snow Warden, and agree any procedure regarding a supply of grit.

8.6. Any other reports

To receive any other reports from Councillors or the Clerk.

9. Items brought forward and actions from previous meeting

9.1. Workday

To receive an update from Cllr Moore on the success of the Workday on 6th October.

9.2. One-Way Willey Lane

To receive an update from Cllr Sales regarding the suggestion to make Willey Lane one way, and consider further actions.

To confirm any updates to the Emergency Plan.

12. Actions from Clerk’s Appraisal

  • To update the photo of the Council for the website.
  • To agree the increase of the Clerk’s salary by two increments on the salary scale from April 2025 to LC9 as per the Clerk’s contract.

13. Leaf Blower

To agree the actions to be taken regarding the purchase of a leaf blower.

14. Mid-Year Budget Review

To review the expenditure in relation to the budget.

15. Future Projects for Budget

To agree any projects to be costed for the draft 2025/26 budget and three-year forecast.

16. Remembrance Day

To agree who should attend the ceremony on behalf of the Council and read the Roll of Honour. To agree who will be responsible for putting the wreath out.

To agree whether anybody should attend the DNPA meeting on 6th Dec and a response to the email from Moretonhampstead Council.

18. Items for Next Meeting

Scheduled for Monday 4th November 2024. Items for agenda  – VETS Report, Draft Budget 2025/26 and 3-year forecast, Communications/Website Strategy.
