Ash Dieback on the A30
National HIghways have notified Sticklepath Parish Council that most of the clearance work for the programme of Ash Dieback removal along the A30 has now been completed.
Over the coming months they will begin replanting the areas most affected by this work. They will plant just over 3,000 new trees along the A30 in Devon and Cornwall, to include local species such as Hazel, Crab apple, Holly, Hawthorn, Honeysuckle, European Spindle, Hornbeam and several others in lesser numbers. These species have been carefully chosen to ensure local habitats are encouraged to flourish, they will be planted in a variety of sizes.
The work will take place on verges with some rolling lane closures in place.
