Village Minutes – May 2023
We had two meetings on 10th May, the Annual Parish (or Village) Meeting had speakers from lots of interesting organisations, all of which are on the website with links from the minutes here.
There were reports from Harvest Workers’ Co-Op, Finch Foundry, the Highways Department, St. Mary’s Heritage Place, StOC, West Devon Borough Council, Devon County Council and our Road Warden. There were also reports from the Council Chair about the last year, the Clerk about finances and Cllr Moore about speeding issues. The topics were so interesting that even those who had intended to head outside for pizza stayed to listen!
Then the councillors and Clerk had their annual parish council meeting, with all their on-going business, and they welcomed Jake Powell as a new member. He is also our Road Warden, so he will be busy! There is still one vacancy on the Council if you would like to get involved please contact me.
